Your Rajasthani Tour will start at a fascinating homestay in the quaint suburbs of the lake city of Udaipur. After which you will proceed to a sleepy hamlet off Jodhpur where you will stay with a local family in a rural village style house. You will then continue towards to the arid desert of Rajasthan where you will stay within a magnificent living fort. Your offbeat holiday will end in the Thar Desert where you will be camping under a blanket of stars!

 Day 1: Arrive to Udaipur. Relax and unwind in the afternoon followed by a visit to Monsoon Palace to enjoy the sunset. (All meals at homestay). All meals included

Day 2: Udaipur city day tour** All meals included. (Visit the Hathi Pol, City Palace,  Lake palace, Jagdish temple, Karni Mata temple/light and sound show at lake and walk through the local markets)

Day 3: After breakfast, start your day by visiting Shilpgram (Artist village in Udaipur) in the morning. After lunch head to an NGO for village kids and end the day by taking a night safari. All meals included.

Day 4:  Drive from Udaipur to Jodhpur(5 hrs). Spend the afternoon at leisure. Take an evening walk with the host in the village. All meals included .

Day 5: Jodhpur City tour – Blue city, Palace and Fort. Day at leisure (All meals included/packed lunch for day tour).

Day 6 – After breakfast, start your day by taking a village safari with the hosts. Spend your time exploring rural villages of Shepherds & enjoying a Wildlife Safari in the desert. Come back to the village for lunch.  Later in the day go trekking to a sunset point on a nearby mountain with the host. All meals included.

Day 7- Drive from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer (5 hrs). Stay inside a living fort, spend the day at leisure.

Day 8 – Post breakfast proceed towards the desert safari in the desert. Visit few unseen villages on the way. Sleep under the stars All meals included.

Day 9 – Return from desert. Visit Gadisar  lake enroute. After lunch and ample rest, visit the Patwan ki havelis. Spend the rest of  evening at leisure in your hotel or within the fort.

Day 10 – Drive back to Jodhpur, drop to Airport/Railway station.


When to go:

The best time to visit Rajasthan is from October to February. This is when the climate will be cooler and enjoyable. If you want to try something different, you can also go to Rajasthan in the Monsoons(nothing can compare to the soft drizzle on your head while you are sitting atop Mehrangarh Fort enjoying the clouds play hide and seek with the sky at dusk in Jodhpur or on the camel in Jaisalmer’s Thar desert ;))
