It is as if India has suddenly gone on a slow gear giving an old world charm to it whilst retaining its unbounded beauty.While you are there you can experience the famous Ayurvedic massage, finger licking south Indian cuisine and the classical dance forms.

You can rejuvenate by the secret beaches Kerala has in store for you ,cycle through the tea gardens of Munnar, walk along the backwaters and see how the locals live, interact with your warm and friendly hosts on the breakfast table  or watch how the locals catch fish in a quaint village off the beaten track.

Your trip will start by staying with your local host family in Cochin. After which you will proceed to the lush green tea gardens of Munnar at a lovely farm stay. Following Munnar will be your final destination in Alleppey where you shall stay in the luxurious houseboat and a traditional home stay.

Itinerary: 

3 Nights Cochin +2 Nights Munnar +2 Nights Alleppey

Day 1:- Arrive in Cochin and check in at your home stay. Relax and unwind. Walk/Stroll around the local markets/Mahatma Gandhi beach and enjoy watching a colourful sunset with the backdrop of the Chinese fishing nets.

Day 2:- Enjoy a wholesome Kerala style breakfast at your homestay (Included). Hire a Scooter/Bike  to explore a scenic coastal island off fort Cochin.(Excluded). Spend the morning exploring local villages and streets in backwaters off Cochin in Vypin island.

You can also visit a fish farm amidst backwaters as well as a secret beach. Drive past the many small internal roadways  of the Vypin Island to Cherai beach to explore small colourful fishermen villages along the backwaters. Lunch at a local seaside restaurant at Cherai beach.After evening, attend the famous show: The makeup of Kathakali artist followed by a Kathakali dance performance(included)

Day 3:- Have a wholesome breakfast at your homestay(Included). Hire a cycle/ bike or walk around to  explore the fast disappearing and character filled  Jewish town, Mattancherry, Spice markets, Dutch palace and fort Cochin like a local(excluded).Enjoy your meals at local restaurant in town(excluded).Enjoy the evening at leisure

OR

Take a Kerala cooking class to learn the traditional recipes passed on from generations(Excluded).

 Day 4:-  After a wholesome breakfast, leave for Munnar – The land of tea gardens. Relax and unwind after a traditional lunch( Excluded).Enjoy the afternoon relaxing at your farm stay/homestay/resort. Enjoy a  Kalaripayattu or traditional martial arts show in the evening(Included). Dinner at your chosen restaurant( Excluded)

Day 5:- Have breakfast at your resort/ homestay in Munnar(Included). Drive along the roads of Munnar surrounded by lush green tea gardens on both sides. Visit the Tea Museum, Mattupetty, Echo point and indulge in Tea garden trekking(Included)

OR

Take a cycle/Elephant ride tour across Munnar’s lush landscapes(Included)

 Later in spoil yourself by treating yourself with Kerala’s famous Ayurvedic massage or Relax and unwind at your resort/homestay. Dinner at your chosen restaurant( Excluded)

Day 6:- Post breakfast, leave for Alleppey. Reach Alleppey in the afternoon and check in at your luxury houseboat. Cruise the scenic backwaters and canals of Alleppey. (All meals included)

Day 7:- Wake up to the call of whistling ducks. After breakfast in your comfortable houseboat, cruise along the backwaters. Midday check out from the houseboat and proceed to the traditional Home stay of Kerala facing the backwaters.Take a walk through the villages along the backwaters, interact with local villagers

OR

Visit a secret untouched beach in Alleppey fringed with Palm trees and also visit a coir factory on the way.(Excluded).Spend the rest of the evening at leisure.Only Breakfast included

Day 8:- Leave Cochin to proceed to the airport/railway station.

The climate in Kerala is pleasant throughout the year. However, the best time to visit Kerala is between October to March.
