Overview of your offbeat  heavenly Kashmiri  holiday

 Kashmir valley lies deep within seemingly endless layers of alpine and is plush with  lakes, Meadows and orchards. Traditionally fabled as a place where heaven lives. The many tin-roofed villages guard terraced paddy fields lined by apple groves and  poplar trees. Children with rose-coloured cheeks and light eyes will melt your heart. It is truly heavenly in every context.

Your tour starts with a luxurious stay in a houseboat on Dal Lake. Whilst you are there you will get to enjoy a shikara ride and also get to interact with a local Kashmiri family and have a meal with them whilst touring the beautiful Mughal gardens and mosques. Your tour also entails a visit to the famous woolen and wooden handicraft factories in Srinagar. Moving on, you will head to Gulmarg, an alpine hill destination famous for its skiing and lush alpine forests. You can enjoy Goldola rides and pony rides to the points around as well. Leaving Gulmarg you will now head to Pehelgam, which is known for gurgling rivers and  lush valleys. You can enjoy horse rides  as well as trek on the many mountains there. You will have ample time to soak in the nature in your Kashmiri mountain break whilst interacting with locals and learning about their arts and culture.

Day 1:- Arrive Srinagar lunch at houseboat, evening shikara ride in Dal Lake (lunch/diner at houseboat (on twin sharing bases)All meals included

Day 2:- Hire car, See Mughal Gardens and mosque. Sunset at a secret  unexplored Lake .BBQ dinner in houseboat.

Day 3:- Drive to Pehelgam. Horse ride to nearby points

Day 4 – Pehelgam. Hire car and see attractions around.

Day 5- Drive to Gulmarg. Trek to nearby forest –

Day 6 – Goldola ride and Horse riding.

Day 7 – Gulmarg to Srinagar. Day at leisure for shopping

Day 8 – Fly back

 

When to go:

The best time to visit Kashmir is from Feb end  to September end. This is when the climate will be cooler and enjoyable. Besides if you want to experience the bliss of snowfall  whilst indulging in skiing etc then you can head there from November to Feb when the temperatures can reach sub-zero as well.

Starts from 31,000 per person (on twin sharing bases). The exact price is based on the following parameters:

  • The exact time or season of travel.
  • Choice of vehicle.
